Cell C free voice minutes promotion

Cell C will be launching its Woza Wheneva promotion on Monday, giving 20 free extra airtime minutes for every R10 (accumulated) spent on recharging (promotion flyer here).

"South Africans embraced Cell C’s ‘Woza Weekend’ with no holds barred," explains Cell C’s Executive Head of Marketing, Simon Camerer.

"The product meets a very real need in our communities, where constant communication with friends and family plays such an important role. With economic times getting tougher and everybody’s budget being squeezed to the limit, Cell C wanted to let its customers know that it understands their difficulties, offering a ray of good news amid all the gloom."

Woza Wheneva provides up to 100 extra free minutes per SIM per week on recharging.  "In effect, for every amount in rands you use to recharge, you receive the airtime paid for and double the number of free airtime minutes which you can use any time during the week.”

“So a R10 recharge notches up R10 airtime and 20 minutes of free Cell-C-to-Cell-C calls. A R25 recharge earns you 50 minutes, a R30 investment provides a full hour of free talktime. What’s more, every rand in addition to the initial R10 recharge earns the customer another two free minutes of airtime, whenever all day all week."

Customers may accumulate recharges within the week, but must use all free minutes gained during the week of recharge. "So the moral of the story is, recharge early and take advantage of your extra free minutes whenever you feel the need – don’t wait until Sunday night to use all your free airtime!" Camerer urges.

The qualifying period of the free minutes runs from Monday 00H00 to Sunday 23H59.  The offer is available to all pre-paid customers and runs from 23 February to 31 May 2009.
