MTN extends free GB offer – new prices to follow

MTN said that they fired up their free GB special offer again, and that this offer will most likely run until their new pricing kicks in. MTN is currently developing a new data pricing structure.

The special offer basically translates into a price of R 399-00 for 2 GB of data – or 20c per MB. This is in line with Vodacom’s R 389-00 for 2 GB and far more affordable than Cell C’s R 499-00 for 1 GB.

MTN further dismissed rumors that they currently have any differential pricing of data on their network, something Skype users will be relieved to hear.
