MTN extends free GB offer – new prices to follow

Yey....new prices :) I just ordered the 1GB bundle and can confirm you get one free... can someone however tell me how to check on my bundle status with MTN, i.e. how much used/left? Preferable online.

<dreaming_again>Could it be that MTN might be taking its time and implementing [thread=70339]Data Bundle Rollover[/thread]? - maybe MTN could be 2nd to implement DBR...</dreaming_again>

I don't have the slightest clue as to what their working on:o

I would suggest being the first Mobile operator to provide No cap at a set subscription. That would be cool. Ground braking to say the least.

Looks like we'll all have to wait... me included ;)

LOL, now you're dreaming - mind you it is a common dream - uncapped data at an affordable monthly subscription fee :) somehow I don't see it happening anytime soon unless it is offered at vanilla-3G speed.

Bad management. I'm sorry but I hope they lost hundreds if not thousands of customers because the management lacked the foresight to extend the offer before it ran out.

If I'd known that yesterday I would not have bought the VC card that I'm using now - MTN need to get their act together.

I agree with you there - totally crap management.

I posted a few post over the last few days trying to confirm if the 2G for R399 was still available, but no confirmation.
Yesterday I asked our local MTN shop and they had no clue (nothing new), so I wasn't prepared to take a chance and juts went with a new R1.99 VC card from Pick n Pay and a few airtime vouchers to have enough to convert to a 2G data bundle at R389.
The VC although report lower connection speed and not HSDPA but WCDMA its actual speed is not bad at all.
