Vodacom network upgrades

Vodacom has announced that it will be upgrading their network in the Gauteng area over the next few weeks.  “This network upgrade also forms part of Vodacom’s preparation for 2010 and to put in place the latest technology platform. We are doing our very best to prevent any interruption in service while we upgrade, but please bear with us as we bring you a better network,” Vodacom said in an official statement.

Vodacom explained that while it will do its best to avoid disruptions during busy times, it is not always possible as tower maintenance and upgrades have to be performed during the day for safety reasons.

Vodacom has launched a web page where subscribers can view a schedule of where and when network upgrades will be taking place:  http://www.vodacom.co.za/networkupgrades/  “You can also call 111, free from a Vodacom cellphone, 082 111 from any other phone or send an email to [email protected], for more information.”
