Free games with Xbox 360

Microsoft today announced that it will add a few games to any new Xbox 360 purchase at no additional charge.

“At no additional cost, consumers will now receive great games inside the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, representing some of gaming’s best-known family brands and offering South African’s fantastic value in time for Christmas,” Microsoft said in a press statement.

From this weekend, consumers purchasing one of the Xbox 360 Christmas offers will receive the console plus family games at no extra cost.

For an estimated retail price (ERP) of R1, 799.99, the Xbox 360 Arcade Christmas offer comes with six games, including “Sega Superstars Tennis” and five Xbox Arcade games.

The Xbox 360 console (R2, 699.99 ERP) and Xbox 360 Elite (R3, 499.99) Christmas offers pair the consoles and with two games: “LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures” and “Kung Fu Panda”.

“This Christmas we’re offering even greater value for families to access the fantastic experiences Xbox 360 has to offer,” said David Gosen, VP marketing, Xbox Europe.

“We’ve seen great momentum across all regions after the recent reduction of the Xbox 360 estimated retail price.  By now offering top titles as part of the retail package, we’ll continue that momentum by bringing even more consumers to Xbox 360.”
