Quick-fire battery charger
Rechargeable battery manufacturer Uniross has launched a quick-charge battery charger pack that can charge Uniross batteries in just 15 minutes. Originally, rechargeable batteries needed to be charged over an 8-12 hour period.
"The Uniross 15 minute quick-charge Uniross Hybrio batteries have a capacity of 2100mA. The 2700mA Uniross Performance batteries have a higher performance and can be fully charged in about four hours," says Uniross marketing manager Michael Rogers.
"The Uniross Performance range is suited to high-power electronic equipment while the Hybrio range is suited to everyday use including digital cameras."
Rogers says the newer technology has also enabled Uniross rechargeable batteries to retain their charge for longer, up to 12 months.
"This gives a dual benefit. Uniross batteries can be sold fully charged off the self, ready for use. And because the batteries retain their charge for longer, if left unused for a few months, they do need to be recharged before being used again.
"Users often forget to recharge their batteries if left unused for a while. This provides convenience and greater flexibility," he says.
