Dell Studio XPS range released locally
The Dell Studio XPS 13 and Studio XPS 16 laptops are now available locally through the Drive Control Corporation (DCC).
The XPS range offers high end multimedia laptop technology that includes advancements such as High Definition playback (HD)and blu ray technology.
“Stocking and distributing the Dell Studio XPS provides us with a great opportunity to expose the South African marketplace to laptops that look great and are also high-end multimedia players. We have no doubt this series will appeal to a certain segment of the market that requires more than just word processing and surfing the web,” comments Mandy Porter, Dell Divisional Manager at DCC.
Dell Studio XPS 16
The XPS 16 features 8 GB DDR3 RAM capacity, a 16 inch full HD edge to edge display, an 8 milisecond response time, facial recognition software, Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a Blu Ray Drive.
Dell Studio XPS13
The XPS 13 features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB dual channel DDR3 RAM, a 13.3 inch HD WLED display, an NVIDEA GeForce 9500 graphics processor and High Definition Audio 2.0 technology. IT does not feature a Blu Ray drive.
Both laptops also feature a 2 Megapixel webcam, facial recognition security, backlit keyboard and capacitive touch media controls.
No announcement regarding price points was made although each device is currently available at a DCC reseller including Stax, Makro and Waltons.
