Windows 7 beta ending

Microsoft says it will stop offering downloads of its Windows 7 Beta software on February 10.

In a blog post Brandon LeBlanc, of the company’s Windows client communication team, said that the company had more feedback on the beta version than it could handle and would give users until February 10 to download the software.

LeBlanc said that the amount of feedback the company had received had "been amazing and continues to pour in. We are at a point where we have more than enough beta testers and feedback coming in to meet our engineering needs, so we are beginning to plan the end of general availability for Windows 7 Beta."

LeBlanc said that anyone who begins downloading the software before February 10 would have until February 12 to complete the download.

Users that have already downloaded the software but do not have a product key will still be able to obtain those after February 12.
