Hardware failure causes iBurst downtime
Users complained about network downtime yesterday, saying that they either could not connect to the iBurst network or when connected could not access the Internet.
iBurst confirmed the downtime, saying that a network component on one of their main distribution switches failed on Thursday at 06h30.
“The faulty component was replaced by 11:00am and all services were fully restored at 2:00pm. iBurst regrets the inconvenience experienced by some subscribers today,” said iBurst.
