Uncapped, unshaped 4 Mbps ADSL after hours account: R799
Openweb has launched yet another uncapped ADSL solution – this time aimed at users who don’t need high speeds during business hours, but who are interested in a good performance for torrents and P2P services after hours.
Aptly named ‘4Mbps After Hours Uncapped, Unshaped ADSL’, this account offers poor daytime speeds of 192 Kbps, but unshaped bandwidth at speeds of up to 4 Mbps after hours.
According to Openweb the account is unshaped, meaning that P2P and torrents will not get a lower priority (also known as shaping) on the network after hours.
The new 4 Mbps uncapped accounts from Openweb sell for R799 per month, and are only available this month.
This new offering will compete against other after hours uncapped ADSL accounts, including Axxess’ Uncapped Express+ ADSL accounts which provide daytime speeds of 384 Kbps with full speeds after hours at R999 per month.
