Cross-Over Uncapped 384Kbps ADSL account for R39

Openweb recently launched its “384k Cross-Over ADSL account”, offering consumers the chance to test a shaped, uncapped ADSL account or use this account to tide them over for the last few days of the month.

“Many folks do not want to buy an ADSL account at the end of the month, and be billed for a whole month. There are also folks whom would like some time to make up their minds about which account to go for. The Cross-Over account gives them time to make their decision for a few rands per day,” explains Openweb founder Keoma Wright.

Openweb’s 384k Cross-Over ADSL account is essentially a one week uncapped account which runs for a fixed period of time – from the 26th of each month to a few days into the next month.

“The purpose of the account is to cross people over into the new month. Many folks run out of cap, or do not want to commit to a permanent account around month end. This account is made for them,” explains Wright.

This new uncapped ADSL account is priced at R39, but is only in a trial phase.

“This is basically an account we are trialing. If popular, we will officially launch it,” said Wright. “We will announce by the 15th of March whether we are launching it permanently.”
