So basically R40 bucks for 4 days....not too bad....
really don't see that it will become very popular....
So capped the month and uncapped from the 26th....then uncapped the next month. How many people can it be?

Think it might work, people will buy it for R39 and decide to rather stay uncapped then to go back to a cap account next month. People with a low cap, can get up to date with all their windows and antivirus updates on all their PC and go back to cap next month.

As if the average user wants the hassle and those with the knowledge and dont mind the hassle are already on uncapped.

Interesting idea, some people might find this useful!

Good idea. I got throttled on Afrihost on the 24th and wanted to buy a prepaid account for R39. This offers way more and I dont need to monitor. will prob give it a try and see how it goes.

The article says it's uncapped for 1 week (starts from the 26th and runs a few days into the new month), so it's really about R5.57 per day, shaped uncapped on 384kbps.

Can see the value in this with a capped account. Keoma why don't you bundle this option with a capped account. Something like 3 gig cap then 26th - 3rd uncapped for R100.

My mom only has a 1gb account. She doesn't need anymore, but when I come home from Uni 1 every 6 months or so I we have to buy a buttload of extra cap so I can update her laptop and home PC so for us this would be awesome in terms of getting essential large downloads when needed. It might also help me to convince her to get uncapped so I'm not so restricted the short time that I do spend at home

Not a bad product.

Can someone please give me a link of the best uncapped packages on the Market. I'm happy with Mweb and the moment. but its always nice to know of other deals

Axxess did a similar once-off thing for the last 4 days of the month. It was great, so not a new idea.

it's a good idea but I doubt openweb can deliver a usable service

uhm feb is only untill 28th hahahaha so you have uncapped for 3 days..
best to pick a month with 31 days....lol...too much pt to save a penny...

It does appeal to me in some way, but I just can't help to think about the amount of shaping that would apply to such an account.
