iBurst removes prepaid data limitations

iBurst today (8 December 2011) announced that they have done away with access time limitations on prepaid vouchers, and also introduced new benefits like discounts of up to 77% for consumers who have topped up in excess of 4GB.
“The revision to the prepaid offering means that with the added benefit of unlimited carry over, consumers will now be able to access these prepaid vouchers /unused data over an unlimited period of time,” iBurst explains.
The company says that the decision to scrap time limitations on prepaid vouchers was prompted in part by the Consumer Commission’s complaint that it was acting in contravention of section 63 of the Consumer Protection Act. iBurst says that it is happy to comply with this provision of the Act.
“We decided that it was within our power to remove these limitations on both our pre – threshold and post – threshold prepaid data vouchers,” said Zahir Kahn, Head of Product at iBurst.
The withdrawal of access time limitations on prepaid products became effective on Wednesday the 7th of December.
