TopTV confirms weekend decoder stock
On Digital Media (ODM) launched their TopTV offerings last Saturday, and what followed surprised even the most optimistic individuals at the company.
TopTV sold out all their decoders and installation units within the first day of launch, and their call centre was flooded with consumers wanting to know more about the service or how to install and activate their accounts.
ODM reacted quickly to cope with demand. The company has doubled its call centre capacity and additional TopTV installers have been trained to cope with the number of new subscribers.
“We are coping much better than we were at the beginning of the week. We are however still dealing with a backlog of some voice messages but are now able to turn them around in 24hours,” said ODM’s marketing manager Elouise Kelly.
Some consumers are still complaining about struggling to reach call centre agents, and Kelly asked consumers to please be patient. “I am personally dealing with emails and phone calls so I can assure subscribers and potential subscribers to keep trying, we will attend to them,” said Kelly.
Good news for consumers who could not get their hands on one of TopTV’s decoders last weekend is that all the retailers should have more stock this weekend. “The new decoders have now landed in all retailers. PEP, Makro, House and Home, Game and Pick ‘n Pay are ready to sell,” said Kelly.
