ShowMax Apple TV app launch update

The new Apple TV is set to launch in SA in early November, and ShowMax plans to launch an app on the platform.

“Our product team took delivery of their development unit a month ago and we’re seriously impressed,” said ShowMax.

ShowMax said it aims to publish its Apple TV app “in the coming months.” The company added that those who are not Apple fans should not worry.

“We hear you loud and clear on the platforms you want us to support and we’re hard at work.”

Previously, ShowMax boss John Kotsaftis said they planned to support Google’s Chromecast and the Apple TV before the end of 2015.

Kotsaftis later confirmed they were developing an application to support Chromecast.
