Plex for Kodi – Free version launched

Plex for Kodi now has a free version that doesn’t require a Plex Pass subscription, Windows Central reported.

While you will be able to access your media collection hosted on a Plex Media Server through the Kodi app, certain features remain exclusive to Plex Pass subscribers.

“The Plex for Kodi add-on gives users the best of both worlds: the advanced customisation of Kodi home theatre and the beauty and simplicity of Plex for access on any device, anywhere, anytime,” the app’s website states.

Premium features exclusive to Plex Pass subscribers include audio fingerprinting, parental controls, and support for multiple user accounts.
