MultiChoice unveils new DStv HD decoder
MultiChoice has revealed a new version of its DStv HD single-view decoder.
The new decoder is smaller and features an embedded smart card.
Its new model B6 remote lets you configure up to five buttons to control your TV and home theatre, it added.
“The DStv HD Decoder 5-series will be made in Durban and Randburg,” said MultiChoice.
Subscribers with Explora 2 installations and a smart LNB will be able to set up XtraView without updating their installation, or needing to run a dedicated cable between the two decoders, as they will communicate via the installation cables.
MultiChoice recommended that subscribers who do not use a smart LNB check with their DStv installer for alternative solutions.
The new DStv HD single-view decoder will be available from 1 November. No price was announced.
