Deezer launches new universal desktop app

Deezer is promising desktop users “the music experience they’ve been waiting for” with a new desktop app for Mac and Windows.

The app provides high-definition audio to subscribers, it said.

“For the first time, music fans will be able to hear music the way it was meant to be heard – in lossless CD quality at 16-bit FLAC,” said Deezer.

Available in Beta, the app provides users access to 43 million tracks.

The Flow service – which combines smart data and analytics to play tracks users want to hear – is also available.

App users can also discover Deezer exclusive videos featuring interviews and performances from artists.
