DStv Mobile online activations and new apps
DStv Mobile today announced that from 30 November 2011, subscribers can activate their DStv Mobile device on the company’s website.
Previously DStv Mobile devices could only be activated telephonically through the MultiChoice call centre.
The activation service is available to all DStv Mobile subscribers and can be used to activate the Drifta, Drifta USB and the Walka TV.
DStv Mobile also introduced new applications. “To make the DStv Mobile streaming service on mobile operator portals easier to access, DStv Mobile has created a bookmark application for Java ME, BlackBerry, and Android devices,” the company said in a press statement.
The applications are currently available for free from the Android Market and the Vodacom apps store. DStv Mobile said that they plan to add more stores soon.
DStv Mobile coverage is currently available in the 9 major cities of South Africa.
