DStv channel changes announced
DStv announced in a press release today (23 July 2013) that it will change the channel numbers of Russia Today and NDTV from 1 August 2013.
Russia Today (currently channel 405) will be moving to channel 407 and NDTV (currently channel 407) will be moving to channel 413.
In related news, it recently emerged that a new DStv decoder called the “Explora” is expected to be unveiled on 31 July 2013.
The English language Russia Today channel is also one of the free-to-air offerings on the SES “Astra” satellites at 5°E.
A new subscription-free satellite TV service operating on the Astra 5°E satellites called OpenView HD is expected to launch in South Africa during October 2013.
