Cell C CIO Ron Reddick resigns
Cell C Chief Information Officer (CIO) Ron Reddick has resigned from Cell C, effective from last Friday (30 September 2011).
Reddick explained that he tendered his resignation to the Cell C board and acting CEO Simon Duffy because the re-organisation of the company following the departure of former Cell C CEO Lars Reichelt did not sit well with him.
Reddick said that he looked at his options within Cell C’s new structure, but that the new structure and direction was not the best option for him.
Reddick was widely seen as one of Reichelt’s right-hand men who was instrumental in the company’s 21Mbps HSPA+ network rollout.
Cell C confirmed that Ron Reddick is no longer with Cell C, but said that they don’t “comment on the reasons why executives leave the company”.
