Cell C data billing increment change
Cell C has standardised the billing increments of all of its data products to 25kb, which the company said will increase billing efficiencies.
This confirmation followed a forum discussion where the user said that their data billing increment increased from 5kb to 25kb.
“I used 1.6kb on 23 April 2014, and Cell C charged for 5kb of data against my bundle,” the user explained. “Just 5 hours later, on the 24th April, I used 1.7kb, and was charged for 25kb.”
“Earlier this year Cell C standardised the billing increments of all of its data products to create billing efficiencies. Previously the billing increments varied,” explained Cell C.
“All products are now standard. The 25kb increment is in line with international standards (which is what is charged when you roam),” Cell C explained.
