“Cell C the most useless” billboard changes

The Cell C billboard outside the World Wear shopping centre in Randburg, with the message “The most useless service provider in SA – Cell C Sandton City” has been changed this morning.
The billboard was erected on Thursday 6 November 2014, containing Cell C’s official branding, and various messages that Cell C Sandton City is a useless service provider.
On Saturday morning (8 November 2014) the 20m x 5m billboard was changed. All the Cell C branding was removed using black tape, while the negative messages remained.
MyBroadband spoke to the people who made the changes, and they informed us that legal issues regarding the use of Cell C’s branding were behind the changes.
The following images show the before and after pictures of the anti-Cell C billboard in Randburg.
The person behind the banner
On Friday 7 November 2014 a person called Beverley phoned Radio 702, saying that her boss was behind the billboard.
According to Beverley the prolonged battle to resolve problems with Cell C pushed her boss to commission the banner.
Beverley said that Cell C “is livid with us”. She said that Cell C may try to take them to court, but she added that they have facts, figures and emails about their battle with Cell C to back up their story.
Cell C said in a statement on Friday that they can confirm that there is a dispute between Cell C and the customer responsible for the banner. “We are attempting to resolve the matter,” Cell C said.
