“Cell C the most useless provider” billboard changes

This is unfortunately the setup at most big businesses.

The senior executives who are responsible for the mismanagement in the lower ranks have barricaded themselves quite well from the outside world.

They only make themselves known when the time for bonuses and profit sharing comes around.

That banner is so badly flighted, hope it wasn't a professional company that installed it.

Yeah,its a huge problem in SA and I've seen it myself on several occasions,once with Massmart CEO Grant Pattison who also thinks he's something special and refused to deal with people at grass-roots level even in basic friendly speech!

While as an exec its reasonable that you cant deal with every grass roots problem as your time is valuable and you are there to make long term planning decisions more than daily operational decisions but sometimes you need to see what's actually happening at grassroots level in your business to truly understand it.Hiding in a self constructed bunker doesn't help the business at all.

I hope Cell C teaches this unnamed exec to learn to deal with issues if the need arises instead of hiding behind managers.
 
Not sure how they can be livid when they dropped the ball iro the service they did not provide. I say, it serve them right and hopefully they will catch a wake up!
