Afrihost mobile data on prepaid MTN SIMs explained
Many people have reported that Axxess and Afrihost APN options for mobile data work on MTN prepaid SIM cards. However, Afrihost said it is not officially offering the service.
Afrihost CEO Gian Visser said their APN (Access Point Name) continues to work on MTN Contract SIMs.
“Since we launched Afrihost Mobile data, MTN and Afrihost have been working on trying to enable Afrihost mobile data on MTN prepaid SIMs,” said Visser.
“However, it has proved challenging. We are currently still busy testing various systems and are in Beta – and as such we are not officially offering this service,” he said.
Visser added that he does not know when they will launch and officially support the service.
Axxess was asked for comment, but the company did not respond by the time of publication.
