Cell C Blackberry here soon
Blackberry smartphones continue their strong performance in the business market with many professionals showing tremendous loyalty towards the Blackberry service.
Blackberry’s Bold 9700 smartphone is seen by many as the best Blackberry phone ever, and the BlackBerry Curve 8520 which retails for just over R2,000 significantly reduced the barrier of entry for new Blackberry users.
Both Vodacom and MTN have launched prepaid Blackberry offerings which at R59 per month provide subscribers with unlimited data and the full suite of Blackberry services.
The flat rated data charges associated with a Blackberry service is one of the most attractive features of the service in a country where high data usage can become costly.
The more affordable Blackberry 8520 device and the benefit of flat rated data have even seen many teenagers adopting the Blackberry messaging service in preference of the popular MXit messaging platform.
Cell C set to launch a Blackberry service soon
To date only Vodacom and MTN have launched Blackberry services, but good news for Cell C subscribers is that they are set to launch their Blackberry solution before October this year.
Cell C is playing its cards close to its chest regarding its Blackberry plans, but the company did say that their launch plans and pricing will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Despite its late entrance into the Blackberry market Cell C is still likely to attract many customers to this popular service. Numerous current Cell C subscribers have shown an interest in a Blackberry service, and the cellular operator may possibly migrate many of its prepaid subscribers to an affordable Blackberry 8520 solution.
