MTN today confirmed that it will launch iPhone 4 in South Africa “in the coming month.”
This announcement comes after a recent tweet by Vodacom CEO Pieter Uys that they would be bringing the iPhone 4 to South Africa at the end of September.
Vodacom lost its exclusivity on the Apple iPhone in South Africa on 1 July 2010, and it is now possible for any of the country’s cellular operators to bring the popular device to their subscribers.
It is not clear whether Cell C, Telkom Mobile and Virgin Mobile will also offer the iPhone to their subscribers.
