MTN unveiled multiple-SIM solution

“Previously, our customers have been opening several accounts with us as they balance not only their work and personal lives but also their voice and data needs. With Dual Call 2 customers now have the convenience of managing multiple SIMs on the same contract,” says Serame Taukobong, Chief Marketing Officer at MTN South Africa.

For example, if an MTN subscriber is on MTN AnyTime 500 and chooses the Dual Call 2 product, this would mean that he will get an additional SIM card and both would be capable of handling voice calls, SMSs, MMSs, internet access, and more.

Both SIMs share the same package benefits. In other words, both SIMs share the R500 airtime and 50 SMSs that are included in the package. If a customer buys an internet bundle like a 1GB bundle, both SIMs also share this internet bundle until it is used up.

The service can be loaded to a new or existing contract on any of the current MTN voice and data contract packages for a monthly subscription of R8.76 (ex. VAT).

From multiple accounts, customers now receive only one bill at the end of each month that will combine the usage for both SIMs.

Subscribers will further have the option to divert calls from the primary SIM card to the secondary SIM card should they wish at no cost. Customers will also have the option to divert calls from the primary SIM to voicemail.

“Dual Call 2 is testament to our passion for our customers and giving them the solutions they need to make their lives that much easier,” concludes Taukobong.
