Why Afrihost’s mobile service rocks

Afrihost launched its mobile voice products on 19 January, promising the “best contract-free data, SMS, and voice call rates”.

Afrihost Mobile offers voice calls at 79c per minute, while out-of-bundle data rates are 10c per MB – well below the R1 per MB industry standard.

While pricing is one of the biggest selling points of Afrihost’s mobile products, they also offer many advantages over traditional mobile services.

Here are some of the features of Afrihost’s mobile products:

• No sign-up or activation fees – Afrihost charges for a RICA SIM delivery of R149, which can be avoided by collecting your SIM at the Afrihost office.
• Month-to-month solution – Afrihost charges users monthly, and users can cancel at any time.
• High data allocation – Afrihost’s mobile packages have high data allocations. The Mobile S product, which is priced at R199, comes with 100 minutes and 2GB of data.
• No bill shock – Afrihost’s Auto-Limit feature will automatically top-up an account with data and airtime up to a predefined limit which clients can set.
• ClientZone – ClientZone offers users control over their products, where they can administer any aspect of their service online.
• Mobile App – The mobile app is similar to the ClientZone, available for iOS and Android devices.
• Usage and call log – A usage and call log is available to Afrihost’s mobile clients.
