44,000 suspended MTN subscribers reconnected after billing problem
MTN said that it has reconnected approximately 44,000 accounts that were suspended erroneously due to the billing issue.
The operator said that the system has been restored, is running optimally, and all impacted customers are able to be make calls, upgrade and add services.
“As the system has been fully restored, affected customers are unable to access certain data services such as purchasing data bundles through a USSD,” MTN said.
MTN apologised to all affected customers for any inconvenience this may have caused.
