MTN Hello World roaming rates launched

MTN has announced that its Roam Like Home offer will be replaced by MTN Hello World, which offers discounted roaming rates.

The operator said that MTN Hello World has an improved list of partners and is applicable in countries where MTN does not have operations.

With MTN Hello World, MTN subscribers can get roaming data rates as low as R1 per MB, and can make and receive calls from R1.25 per minute.

For example, when Roaming on Etisalat in the UAE the following roaming rates will apply: voice calls at R2.50 per minute; SMS at R2.50 per message, and data at R1 per MB.

MTN said that subscribers will be able to access these discounted roaming rates without having to opt in.
