Virgin Mobile R15 WhatsApp bundle – Prices compared
Virgin Mobile recently launched a WhatsApp bundle which offers subscribers 600MB of WhatsApp messaging data for 30 days for R15.
Virgin Mobile is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) which uses Cell C’s network to serve its subscribers.
The company is competing against Vodacom, MTN, and Cell C for the heart of WhatsApp users in South Africa.
Cell C currently offers the best value for money, however, with its 30-day WhatsApp bundle with 1.2GB of data for R17.
Vodacom and MTN charge R29 and R30 respectively for 30-day WhatsApp bundles which offer 1GB of data.
In July 2018, Telkom briefly entered the market with a 1GB WhatsApp bundle for R15, where the data lasted for 30 days.
This was only a promotional offer, though, and the company stopped this product soon after launch.
