Vodacom launches VNN

Vodacom has launched the Value News Network (VNN), a social media-led content platform to keep customers informed about value-driven products, services, and special offers.

The VNN is hosted on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, and posts short-form video content highlighting the network operator’s deals.

“Through VNN, customers can enjoy bite-sized, engaging video content highlighting Vodacom’s most compelling deals, ranging from mobile data and voice packages to fibre offerings,” Vodacom said.

Thami Majola, Vodacom South Africa’s executive head of brand marketing and communication, said the VNN launch brings Vodacom’s offers into a fresh, digital-first format.

“At Vodacom, we are continuously exploring new ways to add value to our customers’ lives,” he added.

Vodacom said it developed VNN with its customers in mind, to deliver relevant, accessible, and educational content that is also entertaining. It added that new episodes will be released weekly.

The network operator highlighted how, through its value-driven offerings, its customers in South Africa can score reduced data prices.

“Vodacom’s Just4You platform has delivered effective data price reductions of up to approximately 50% through personalised offers,” it said.

“In addition, hourly, daily, and weekly bundles make connectivity more accessible to customers across the country.”

The network operator recently launched its 2025 V-Up Summer campaign, which includes a 20GB bundle comprising 7.5GB anytime data, 7.5GB Night Owl data, and 5GB of YouTube data for R99.

The bundle is valid for 30 days, and customers also receive a two-month YouTube Premium subscription and 100 Vodabucks.

Prepaid customers who upgrade or sign up to a postpaid deal will receive 100GB of anytime data and 100GB Night Owl data over 24 months.

These customers will also get 5GB of free YouTube data, a two-month YouTube Premium subscription, and a free MiFi router.

“Our purpose has always been to empower people by closing the digital divide through network expansion and the provision of accessible, affordable digital products and services,” said Majola.

“The launch of VNN strongly aligns with this ambition.”
