iPhone 5 LTE for SA soon?

South African mobile networks may be among the 36 carriers to receive LTE support for the iPhone 5 next week (27 January 2013 – 2 February 2013).
MacRumors and AppleInsider reported that in the recent Apple financial results conference call, CEO Tim Cook revealed that they will be adding more carriers for LTE support.
Cook reportedly noted carriers in Italy, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, the Philippines, and also several middle eastern countries would be added.
Although there was nary a mention of Africa, one industry source that asked not to be identified told MyBroadband that they expect SA networks to be added with the release of iOS 6.1.
Whether this will be next week is not certain as the ball is entirely in Apple’s court, the source said. However, there is much speculation that the final version of iOS 6.1 could be out early next week.
