Hetzner boosts traffic quotas

The hosting market in South Africa is becoming increasingly competitive, especially in the dedicated server segment.

Numerous hosting providers are battling it out for market share with aggressively priced dedicated server and virtual server offerings. 

Hetzner recently announced that they are increasing the value proposition on their dedicated server products.

“We are very pleased to announce that steady progress on our network upgrades is enabling an increase in traffic quotas for dedicated servers of 150% and up,” Hetzner told their subscribers.

The new Hetzner data allowances are as follows:

Further good news is that the new quotas are effective for traffic generated from 15 February 2011 onwards, and will hence be reflected in customer’s latest bills.
