LG Electronics will unveil four new OLED TVs at IFA 2015 in Berlin, which will include 65-inch and 55-inch 4K high dynamic range (HDR) OLED models.
The 65-inch model (EF9500) will feature the industry’s first flat 4K resolution OLED displays, while the 55-inch (55EG9200 and 55EG9100) models will measure a slim 4.8mm in thickness.
LG said its OLED display technology ensures that images are displayed “in perfect black as well as perfect colours”.
OLED TVs are able to render the required HDR light range at lower peak brightness, resulting in a more “comfortable viewing experience”.
LG’s HDR-capable OLED TVs will also allow consumers to view HDR content from streaming content partners and external sources.
LG’s new 4K OLED TVs will be available in Germany, Korea, the US, and the UK from the end of August.
