Raspberry Pi touch display launched
The official Raspberry Pi touch display has gone on sale for $60 (±R800).
The touch display has a 10-point capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800×480 pixels.
“Two years ago, I began the process of looking for a simple, embeddable display for the Raspberry Pi,” said the screen project’s Gordon Henderson.
He believed the project would take six months to complete, but there were a number of issues which held it back.
“We’ve finally got there. We chose an industrial-quality display from our friends at Inelco Hunter based in the UK, who were able to create something very special.”
