Apple pulls watchOS 3.1.1 update
Apple has pulled the watchOS 3.1.1 update due to reports that it was bricking devices, 9to5Mac reported.
The update was released yesterday, offering support for Unicode 9.0 emoji, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
Several Apple Watch owners who were first to install the update said it bricked their watches.
According to reports, users were led through the update procedure but were shown a red exclamation mark at a certain point.
Instructions on the Apple Watch help site on how to recover from the error did not work for affected users.
