iPad prices slashed again
When the iPad 2 was first announced and Apple dropped the prices of the original iPad, Core Group, official distributors of Apple products in South Africa, didn’t take long to respond. The Wi-Fi only iPad models enjoyed a R500 price cut across the board while the Wi-Fi + 3G models saw a reduction of R600.
In an update published through Twitter today (25 May 2011), Incredible Connection announced that the pricing of the original iPad had been dropped again.
Only the Wi-Fi + 3G models were mentioned, with the new prices being: R3,333 for a 16GB version; R4,444 for the 32GB Wi-Fi + 3G iPad; and R5,555 for the 64GB iPad.
| iPad model | Old Price | New Price |
| 16GB Wi-Fi + 3G | R 4,999 | R 3,333 |
| 32GB Wi-Fi + 3G | R 5,999 | R 4,444 |
| 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G | R 6,999 | R 5,555 |
According to the Incredible Connection call centre the special is limited and will only run from 26 to 29 May 2011.
Incredible Connection urged interested customers to call ahead to check if stock is available.
