Sharp has released the 8C-B60A 8K (60p) professional camcorder, which supports video shooting and recording, playback, and line output.
The 8C-B60A was developed with Astrodesign, a company possessing 8K image technologies.
It can shoot images in 8K, and is designed to offer ease of use in shooting and recording.
The 8C-B60A’s image pickup device is a Super 35mm-equivalent CMOS image sensor with 33 million pixels.
Compression utilises a coding method that exerts minimal burden on the CPU, enabling efficient 8K image editing and 40 minutes of continuous recording.
The 8C-B60A can also be used for live transmissions.
Sharp aims to spread 8K content as part of its plan to establish an 8K ecosystem.
