Windows 10 launch date for Xbox One

Microsoft will launch its Windows 10-powered dashboard for Xbox One during November 2015, The Verge reported.

The announcement was made during Microsoft’s press conference at Gamescom on 4 August.

Among the features coming to Xbox One is integration with Cortana, Microsoft’s version of Apple’s Siri.

Also coming is support for backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games and Games with Gold.

Microsoft is also planning to launch a preview of the Windows 10 update for Xbox One two months before it goes live.

Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra said on Twitter that his goal is to have Windows 10 on Xbox One for Preview members during September.
