This year’s E3 conference is underway, with the biggest video game companies in the world announcing new titles and hardware.
E3 2017 will run until 14 June, with Microsoft, Bethesda, Electronic Arts, and Ubisoft already unveiling their upcoming releases.
The biggest announcements from E3 2017 so far are detailed below.
Xbox One X
Microsoft unveiled its 4K gaming console, the Xbox One X.
Star Wars Battlefront II
The Star Wars Battlefront sequel sees players battling each other in space and on the ground, and includes a single player campaign with the player taking on the role of an Imperial soldier.
Battlefront II is set to release on 17 November.
Assassin’s Creed Origins
Set in ancient Egypt, the gameplay trailer showed some new features such as user-activated time slowdowns and the ability to scout an area using a bird’s-eye view.
Origins is set to release on 27 October.
Original Xbox Backwards Compatibility
Microsoft announced that it will make original Xbox games playable on Xbox One consoles.
EA showed off numerous trailers for FIFA 18, including a Journey trailer which sees players stepping back into the role of Alex Hunter.
Need for Speed Payback
Need for Speed Payback is set to release on 10 November 2017.
Skyrim for Switch
Bethesda revealed that the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be available on the Nintendo Switch.
The Switch version of the game will include motion control integration.
EA released the first gameplay trailer for Bioware’s upcoming open-world adventure game Anthem.
Anthem is set to release in 2018 for Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
Forza Motorsport 7
Exclusive to Xbox One and Windows 10, the game’s announcement trailer showed off its 4K graphics and new line-up of cars.
Forza Motorsport 7 will be available for Xbox One and PC on 3 October, and on 7 November for Xbox One X.
