The new Apple TV will launch between 26-30 October, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced at the WSJD Live event held in California.
Apple unveiled its latest Apple TV on 9 September, only revealing the price of the device a the time.
Cook said the device is the future of television and would run on powerful hardware and a modern operating system called TV OS.
It will feature a Bluetooth remote with a glass surface and a Siri button, which can be held sideways to act as a video game controller.
Voice navigation and a universal search feature to look for content across iTunes, Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and Showtime are also new features. “We’ll be adding even more over time,” said Apple.
