Xiaomi launches Apple MacBook competitor
Xiaomi has entered the laptop market, unveiling its Mi Notebook Air on 27 July.
The Windows laptop comes in gold or silver, and is set to compete against the Apple MacBook, stated The Verge.
It is available as a 13.3-inch or 12.5-inch model, with the former packing more powerful hardware.
The 13.3-inch features:
- Intel Core i5 CPU
- 256GB SSD
- Nvidia GeForce 940MX
- USB Type-C socket
The 13.3-inch model weighs 1.28kg, and is set to sell for $750 (R10,700).
The 12.5-inch model features an Intel Core M3 processor, integrated graphics, and a 128GB SSD, and is set to sell for $525 (R7,500).
Both models are scheduled to go on sale in China from 2 August.
