Takealot e-books launched

Takealot launched its e-book store and application on 12 June 2015.

Existing Kalahari eReader users will receive a notification to upgrade to the Takealot eReader, the company said.

“By upgrading to the Takealot eReader you’ll be able purchase and download eBooks from Takealot onto your eReader,” it explained.

After upgrading, customers will need to log into the app using their Takealot account details. Previously purchased eBooks will still be available on the eReader after upgrading.

“If you do not wish to purchase eBooks through Takealot, you are under no obligation to upgrade and you can continue accessing your downloaded eBooks as normal through the eReader,” said Takealot.
