WikiLeaks Swedish servers may be under attack
PRQ spokesman Mikael Viborg says the cause of the disturbance isn’t immediately clear but he says he believe it’s probably because of a so-called distributed denial of service attack.
WikiLeaks has been under sustained pressure from across the Internet since it began releasing a massive dump of U.S. diplomatic cables.
The unprecedented disclosure has embarrassed the American government and prompted U.S. officials to pressure the site and its facilitators.
Viborg said Monday that PRQ hasn’t shut down the servers or been pressured by law enforcement on the matter.
He says WikiLeaks has actively used the server space since Friday.
