SAA website downtime

The website of South African Airways is down, according to reports MyBroadband has received.

Tested on Telkom’s network, DNS lookups to the site give a “SERVFAIL” response.

Most browsers report the error as “Server not found”.

Testing the addresses for the nameservers resulted in the following errors:

$ ping NSJIA0Z01.IPNETWORK.CO.ZA
ping: cannot resolve NSJIA0Z01.IPNETWORK.CO.ZA: Unknown host
$ ping NSJIA0Z02.IPNETWORK.CO.ZA
ping: cannot resolve NSJIA0Z02.IPNETWORK.CO.ZA: Unknown host

A spokesperson for SAA could not immediately provide comment.

Update: The site appears to be back online.
