Vimeo launches live streaming platform
Vimeo has acquired live video streaming platform Livestream and launched its own professional streaming product using its technology.
The service is named Vimeo Live and will integrate Livestream’s technology into the Vimeo platform.
Vimeo has updated its payment plans with information on Vimeo Live, offering a certain amount of streaming hours per month.
This addition allows Vimeo’s creators to host live events along with their pre-recorded content.
Creators can broadcast in Full HD and the service includes built-in cloud transcoding.
