Digital manager at TopTV, Yosheen Singh, confirmed today (17 January 2012) that they are aware of the unauthorised access to their website.

A MyBroadband reader reported yesterday that NOD32 anti-virus had popped up a warning that the TopTV website may be serving potentially malicious content.

This was verified with avast!, and a brief investigation revealed code at the very end of TopTV’s home page linking to an external source listed as “suspicious” by various malware tracking sites.

Singh explained that the TopTV site has been moved to an alternative secure server and all the files and folders were scanned and cleared.

“We can safely say there were zero infected files,” Singh said.
