Tesla Model S gets refreshed design, massive software update
Tesla has revealed a refresh of its Model S, including the fascia and adaptive LED headlights that closely resemble the design introduced with the Model X crossover in 2015.
The Model S has also received a version of the “Bioweapon Defence Mode” feature that debuted on the Model X.
“Model S now features a medical-grade HEPA air filtration system, which removes at least 99.97% of particulate exhaust pollution and effectively all allergens, bacteria, and other contaminants from cabin air,” said Tesla.
Tesla has also boosted the charger on the Model S to 48Amps, The Verge reported. Previously, the Model S came with a 40Amp charger.
It noted that a rumoured upgrade to a 100kWh battery was missing from Tesla’s announcement.
